In Europe and other parts of the world Honda calls the Fit the Jazz, but while the car’s name is different the recall is same for 1.35 million models worldwide.

In the U.S. Honda is recalling approximately 143,083 (2007 and 2008 model year) Fits “to avoid the potential loss of low-beam headlight functionality.”

In a recent press release Honda says, “Due to a problem with the routing of the wiring harness for the headlight control switch, the plating on the wiring harness connectors for the low-beam circuit can become worn after repeated use. Worn plating on the connectors could result in corrosion and cause the connector to overheat and fail, resulting in a loss of low-beam headlight functionality.

The high-beam headlight circuit and function are not affected. No accidents or injuries have been reported related to this issue.”

If your Honda Fit is part of the recall Honda says you’ll get a notice in the mail or you can call (800) 999-1009, and selecting option 4 for complete details on the recall, and have your car inspected by your local Honda dealership.
