Ford now selling Raptor with bigger 6.2 liter engine

Raptor2

Ford says that nearly 3000 customers have already pre-ordered the new F-150 Raptor with the bigger 6.2 liter engine which produces 411 HP and 434 ft.-lb. of torque.

That means that Ford has a total of 7000 orders for the Raptor which is one of the first ever high-speed off-road performance trucks for sale to pick-up enthusiasts.

As you may recall from THIS video showing the Raptor undergoing suspension testing at the factory the SVT Raptor is seven inches wider than a base F-150 to make room for the additional suspension components that give the Raptor its off-road abilities.

According to Ford:

"The wider stance also gives the truck an aggressive appearance. Internal triple-bypass shocks by FOX Racing Shox – the first on a production truck – provide position-sensitive damping and extra suspension travel for extreme off-roading and a smooth ride on the road."
