Discovery Channel Storm Chaser Tim Samara and his son Paul Samaras were killed in Friday’s tornado in El Reno, Oklahoma. The devastating storm system took a total of 12 lives in Oklahoma according to published reports.
Tim Samaras, 55, his son Paul Samaras, 24, and Carl Young, 45, all died while chasing the EF3 Tornado that struck Oklahoma Friday night.
According to their Twistex Facebook page:
“Tim Samaras, his son, Paul Samaras, and Carl Young lost their lives in the El Reno, OK tornado. This is a devastating loss to the meteorological, research, and storm chasing communities.”
