Which one should you buy?
As you’d expect from one of the best-selling crossovers, Toyota covers a wide range of needs and preferences. Ultimately, which one you pick comes down to your needs and which options you can or can’t live without. If you don’t need most of the cutting-edge features, the LE makes a sensible entry-level choice. Being in Colorado, I’d choose all-wheel drive no matter which trim I bought.
If it were my money, I’d spring for the XLE trim, as I’m sure most buyers will. On top of that, I’d choose the highest options package, adding the Convenience and Technology package, as well as the Entune 3.0 Audio Plus system. Having the 8.0-inch touchscreen display is nice, as are heated seats and a heated steering wheel in the winter. I don’t feel I need the larger wheels or Softex seating in the XLE Premium.
The Adventure is the most fun-looking RAV4, but it’s also several thousand dollars more expensive than the XLE. On the whole, the XLE trim offers more bang than the base LE without the expense of the Adventure or Limited.
