Top 25 Ground Clearance Crossovers & SUVs – 2019 Report

Which is the best vehicle for tackling deep snow?

3) Range Rover Sport: 10.95 inches (in off-road height)

Spoiler alert: Land Rover rounds all all three top spots on the podium with their SUVs. The lowest among those top three is the Range Rover Sport. However, thanks to air suspension, it still manages 10.95 inches of ground clearance. Inevitable discussions of unreliability notwithstanding, that air suspension should see you clear of most deep snow in winter storms like Harper.

Under the hood is a wide range of engines, as you’d see with any other Land Rover vehicle. Anything from a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380 horsepower all the way up to a fire-breathing 575 horsepower 5.0-liter V8 in the SVR. Prices start at $67,050 before destination, and all Range Rover Sports come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
