What’s different with the 2017 Toyota Prius Prime?
TFL’s Roman Mica found out recently after testing driving the latest version.
The Prime is the higher-end version of the popular Prius. Currently, Prius offers four versions – the Prius C, the station wagon Prius V, the lift back and the Prime.
The Prime, which is a plugin hybrid, costs about $2,400 more than the liftback. The one Roman tested will cost a buyer about $36,000.
One of the first differences Roman noticed was the styling. Roman said he owns a third generation Prius, and this generation has a higher-end feel inside.
The new Prime gets over 600 miles on one tank. It’s also rated at 55 mpg city, 53 mpg highway and 54 mpg combined. Roman said the newest generation offers better fuel economy and drives more like a real car.
One of the downsides of the Prius is all the information it gives a driver at the same time, and all the buttons that are on the dash and in arm’s reach.
What are some of the other features of the new Prime? And, what are more of the pros and cons of the new model? Find out by watching the complete TFL video above.
