The summary scores for each sub-compact crossover tells us both are really good cars but each has own its strengths and weaknesses. The CX-3 is clearly more stylish and dynamic on the road, but comes up short with how the interior is packaged and the overall value.
The Honda HR-V is plain vanilla inside and out but it excels where the CX-3 comes up short in in terms of usable interior space and value. Just don’t expect the mini-ute to exude a lot of performance when laying down the hammer.
If I had to pick a winner, it would be the Honda HR-V. The Honda’s reputation for dependability, combined with its efficiency with fuel and space is where I would sink my money if shopping for a sub-compact crossover.
