Nathan Adlen and Andre Smirnov go in search of extraterrestrial signs and alpine environments in Nevada. The team reaches the Extraterrestrial highway near Area 51 and the Wheeler Peak trailhead, the highest drivable point in Nevada.
Wheeler Peak reaches up to 13,065 feet above sea level and is located near the Nevada’s eastern border. Don’t confuse this Wheeler Peak with Wheeler Peak in other states (e.g. in New Mexico). The road at the trailhead is at 10,191 feet of elevation.
The Motor Mountain USA (#MMUSA or #MotorMountainUSA) epic road trip is a celebration of all things American and the road less traveled. Nathan, Roman, Andre and Emme are driving a 2015 Jeep Rubicon Wrangler Hard Rock across the country to visit the 50 highest drivable mountain tops in all 50 states. Along the way, they will visit locations off the beaten path and the uniquely American attractions that make the United States one of the world’s top tourist destinations.
This trip is also about involving you in the adventure. TFLcar has commissioned 50 commemorative silver belt buckles, one for each state. We will leave a belt buckle somewhere in the state and will tell you the coordinates, so you can find it. The first person to find it keeps it.
