Kia is bringing this sleek SPORTSPACE concept to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show that is happening next week. This is Kia’s interpretation on the wagon or an estate, but those turns just do not sounds as cool as “SportSpace”. While a Kia wagon is not likely to go on sale in the United States, this concept is showing some interesting new design cues. Could this be the face on the next Kia Optima sedan?
The front has an interesting hood line and blacked out grilles. It’s still recognizable as a Kia, but provides a fresh look. It’s feels both futuristic and ready for production. The profile, roof-line and the rear combine for one of the best looking wagons. The twin tailpipes hint at the sporty nature.
Although, these images show the Kia on snow and ice, the latest generation of the 2.0L turbocharged engine sends power only to the front wheels. The updated engine in the SPORTBACK concept is said to produce 250 ps and is efficiency-minded.
When you feel adventurous, the large hatch opening of the SPORTBACK should accommodate your camping and other kinds of gear with ease. The seats, console, dash, and instruments all convey sophistication and provide abundance of latest technology.
