No idea what year this VW Thing is, only a few people could figure it out. It looks like its been well used. The photo was taken in Morrison, Colorado – right next to the Red Rocks Amphitheater. I sincerely doubt it belongs to any of the performers, but it does impart a rock-n-roll feel.
This VW Thing was missing many of the detachable components and the front windshield was folded flat; thus giving the VW Thing a bug-in-teeth vibe.
This particular VW Thing is a Colorado car and I suspect it’s not exactly a stock powerplant in the rear.
Our resident air-cooled VW Thing freak (Emmy Hall) will go nuts when she sees these photos.
