Many automotive insiders will argue that the Formula 1 racing series is the pinnacle of automotive race car design.
So what do you think would happen if a bunch of F1 engineers designed a bike from scratch?
You are looking at it: it's called the Factor 001.
It was designed by British engineering firm BERU F1 Systems, which normally designs and engineers F1 cars.
The bike is currently on display at the London's Science Museum, and at Harrod's department store where you can buy for a mere $34,000.

It features some pretty interesting design elements including the F1 derived carbon-ceramic brakes and of course a LCD touch-screen that displays usual biometrics such heart rate and power.
The carbon fiber monocoque frame is custom built to the riders specification and takes six engineers a week to build.
