Review 2009 Volkswagen CC Sport: It’s a winner of a first-year car

Volkswagen-unveils-Passat-CC-sports-coupe-17292

A guy
in a back parking lot of a Chinese restaurant, speaking with a French
accent, starred at the 2009 Volkswagen CC Sport and said: "I've
never seen that car in the United States before. I've only seen it in
Germany."

It
wasn't the first nor the last time someone asked about the new VW
sedan. It's the German manufacturer's second attempt at a luxury
sedan via a sleeker design of the Passat. But this time, VW has been
influenced by Mercedes and Audi and it's offering a four-passenger
luxury-style car that costs less than $30,000.

Video: Crash your Clunkers Rednecks show the government how to properly destroy a car

Crashforclunkers

You've heard of "Cash for Clunkers" well in Wisconsin they have a new non governmental program called "Crash your Clunkers"

Why simply waste all of those great old clunkers by giving them to the government to destroy when you can do it yourself?

Watch below as a rural Wisconsin Redneck entrepreneur decides that it might be best to smash a few cars and campers and boats and pick-ups and vans and of course school buses the old fashioned American way: by driving them by remote control over a huge jump into a muddy pit.

It may be an 85 Maserati Biturbo with only 18K miles but it is still a clunker

The Italians have a magical way of taking the raw stuff that makes up a car and creating a living breathing work of art.

Masarati

Especially when the car is built by Italian companies ending in "i".

But alas something went terrible wrong with this magic formula in 1985 when this Maserati Biturbo was built in Italy and sold in America.

When you combine that with the fact the the Maserati Biturbo is not exactly the ideal ski car for the slopes of Colorado you can start to see why somebody would trade it in as a clunker or $3500 for a new Subaru.

Review 2010 Toyota Prius Hybrid: appliance, icon, or the new VW Bug?

Toyota_prius_2010_MAIN

Millions of Americans delight at driving the Toyota Prius. A friend
of mine argued that the Toyota Prius (he has last generation’s) is a
quirky car in a similar vein of the original VW Bug. He (Roman Mica –
Examiner extraordinaire) made a valid point as I argued that it is an
appliance meant to efficiently get the owner from point A to point B –
period.

I thought about his assessment of the Toyota Prius for a
long time (Uh, for a monosyllabic Neanderthal like me that’s 10
minutes). After sampling many a Toyota Prius and just finishing a week
with the brand new 2010 Prius – I came to a conclusion: he has a point.

The worst name for the coolest car with the hottest video ever

Iacoccamustang_01_opta

2009 1/2 Iacocca 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang

Now that's a mouthful.

But while the "official" name pretty much sucks the Mustang looks great, and the video is even better.

Let's see, the video has it all?

Watch a bonehead with a video camera document the death of a cash for clunkers BMW

BMW

If you love cars this video (entitled: Cash for Clunkers- killing innocent 1994 BMW 530iM :'( such a terrible tradgety.) is heart breaking.

Watching this "cash for clunker" 1994 BWW 530 being euthanized is just horrible and for anybody whose heart pumps motor oil instead of blood, just plain tragic and yet…

To add insult to injury I found the entire video distasteful, rude, stupid, and the commentary insulting and inane.
