Women buy cars as a way to deal with big changes in their lives

Cargirls A news survey conducted by CarMax has come to an interesting conclusion: Women buy big ticket items like cars when they face major life events like changes in employment and family.

Many personal factors affect women shopping for a car,” said Donna
Wassel, Southwest region vice president of CarMax. “Changes in family
and employment create an opportunity to evaluate your current driving
situation.

You've probably seen or heard about those "brilliant" but mysterious inventors that have figured out how to power a car using only water.

As you might suspect these water power cars are the stuff internet lore.

The fastest police car in the world is…?

Lambo

Some might think that the fastest police car in the world is the Lamborghini Gallardo used by the Italian Police and recently on loan to the Dutch.

"A Lamborghini police car with a top speed of 202 mph (325 kilometers per hour) was en route Thursday — presumably within the speed limits — from Italy to the eastern Dutch city of Ewijk to be the top attraction at a display of Dutch emergency services," according to the Associated Press.

"Two officers of Italian police, left and right, and their Swiss colleague pose near a Lamborghini Gallardo of Italian traffic police "Polizia stradale", which is told to be the world's fastest police car, at a highway rest area in Bellinzona, southern Switzerland, Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009."

But whatever happened to this Brambus Rocket Police Special?

First Drive video Ford F-150 SVT Raptor: Is it bad to the bone?

Raptorx

It is so wide that it needs semi truck running light.

The 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor was designed to jump and go where the path is never paved.

It has massive tires and dual shocks to handle the really gnarly stuff.

Review Lexus GS 450h hybrid: Finally, a fast hybrid!

Lexus_GS_450h_MAIN

Finally, a fast hybrid!

The GS 450h is not a new vehicle by
any means and it creates an interesting stumbling block for someone who
never equated hybrids with performance (like me). You see, this huge
machine is super fast. Hit the gas at 0 mph and get to 60 mph in less
than 5 ½ seconds. That’s damn quick. Switch the Adaptive Variable
Suspension system to “Sport” and scare smug teenagers in their lowered
Hondas.

Lincoln MKT AWD video review: Lincoln’s luxury hot rod

MKTX
Give us four minutes and we'll give you the scoop.

The 2010 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost is something of a unique car.

It's as Luxurious as a—well—as a Lincoln and as fast as a Mustang—if a Mustang came with all wheel drive.
