The 2026 Honda Passport will take part in this year’s Rebelle Rally.
After Honda’s own teasers and some cheeky spy shots, this is the best look we’ve had of the new 2026 Honda Passport. We knew, by the automaker’s own admission, that this was going to be a more distinct and rugged model from its predecessor. It was also slated to look different than its three-row stablemate, the Pilot, and on that front I’d say Honda’s designers did a bang-up job. While you can always take the “styling is subjective” approach, the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport looks like a properly rugged lifestyle SUV.
Beyond the images posted to Instagram that show us what to expect with the new Passport, there are a few technical details we actually have before the SUV’s full debut (presumably in the next several weeks). It will have a 3.5-liter V6 under the hood, just like the old model, but will get some more power this time around. To that, Honda fit its latest 10-speed automatic transmission and, naturally in the TrailSport’s case, its i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system.
This particular 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport will take part in the Rebelle Rally, an all-women off-road navigation event that takes place over 1,500 miles in Nevada and California. It’s being piloted by two Ohio-based Honda associates and rookies to the rally, in the X-Cross class. Adia Raya, a commercial quality product engineer at the company’s East Liberty plant, and Madison Russell, a quality engineer at the Honda North American Quality Center, will drive the Passport through the event. They will compete as team #208, called the “TrailSport Trekkers”.
Apart from the Maxxis RAZR all-terrain tires, this 2026 Honda Passport is entirely stock. The Rebelle Rally itself will kick off at Mammoth Mountain in California, and finish at an undisclosed (at time of writing, at least) location. The event runs from today, October 11, through October 19.
We’ll get an opportunity to check out the all-new Passport pretty soon, so let us know anything in particular you’d like to know about it in the comments below or by dropping us an email at info@tflcar.com!
