The first 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is heading to Barrett-Jackson January 27!
For the uninitiated, this is the new-generation Mustang that makes 500 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque. For the moment, it’s the highest performance Mustang you can buy, at least until the inevitable Shelby variants come along. That beefy, revised 5.0-liter Coyote V8 is bolted to a six-speed Tremec manual transmission, though retail versions are available with a 10-speed automatic. With its combination of track-ready suspension and brakes, along with its unique exterior and interior design, the Dark Horse is one of the last of the great muscle cars.
Normally, the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse carries a $61,080 MSRP, including destination. Even the normal cars hitting dealer lots are going for more than that right now, and this car that’s going up for charity at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale will definitely bring far more. Well into the six-figure range, at least.
Per the Barrett-Jackson website:
All of the proceeds of the sale of this Mustang go to the JRDF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Started by a group of parents whose children have type 1 diabetes (T1D), the JDRF has an amazing trac record. It is “the leading global organization harnessing the power of research, advocacy, and community engagement to advance life-changing breakthroughs for T1D.”
Speaking of Mustangs, did you know that TFL Studios bought a brand-new one? Sure, it’s not Black Horse, but it is a 5.0-liter V8 GT, and it looks as good as it drives. Check it out!
