More European-Spec Jeep Wrangler JL examples in transit
Can you feel it, you guys? We’re right around the corner from the new Jeep Wrangler’s official debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show! It’s been 11 years since the JK Wrangler was introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. Now, the automotive world awaits the arrival of its replacement. Check out these official images of the Jeep Wrangler JL and its interior.
We’ve spied the JL Wrangler outside Detroit over the summer, and we’ve even seen it in New Zealand. Today’s spy shots come courtesy of Aaron H., whose quick camera work caught quite a few details of the JK replacement. Interestingly, the models spied here seem to be European-spec Jeep Wrangler JL examples. These Wranglers were spotted on a trailer heading east on I-94, just outside Detroit. Fog lights in the rear bumper – absent from American models – give the game away for these Wranglers. However, one similar change in this from previous prototypes is that Jeep moved the license plate directly underneath the spare wheel.
Photos of the Wrangler in New Zealand and now these show FCA’s intention to sell the JL throughout international markets. Thanks again to Aaron for the great spy pics. If you spy any cool camouflaged prototypes in the wild, send them to us at info@tflcar.com.
