The all-new 2015 Ford Edge is available with three different engines and in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. The economy king is the 2.0L EcoBoost that makes 245 horsepower and is rated at 30 MPG on the highway in the FWD model. Next is the naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 with 280 horsepower. The hot-rod of the bunch is the Edge Sport with the 2.7L EcoBoost V6, an engine that is shared with the 2015 Ford F-150. This turbo-V6 makes produces less power than in the pickup truck, but it’s still impressive 315 horses and 350 lb-ft of torque @ 2,750 rpm.
The Edge also comes in SE, SEL, and Titanium trim levels. It starts at $28,100 for SE with the 2.0L engine and FWD. The performance of the Sport will cost quiet a lot more. The Sport AWD start at $39,595. If you add adaptive cruise control, collision warning, panoramic sunroof, and several other goodies. The final price can get close to $47,000.
