Nissan Altima overtakes Toyota Camry and Honda Accord for the #1 sales sport after February 2014. The Altima was one of three mid-size sedans which had year-over-year growth last month. Nissan sedan grew 11.3% and crushed all other opponents with 30,849 units sold.
Honda Accord fell to third place, Ford Fusion remained in fourth. Chevrolet Malibu showed significant improvement in sales and remained comfortably in fifth. Further down, Kia Optima narrowly took the sixth spot away from the Hyundai Sonata. Volkswagen Passat fell to ninth spot, while Dodge Avenger took eighth.
Mazda6 continued its great momentum from last calendar year with huge 46.0% growth in February. It still has a long way to go to catch up, but it’s making progress.
