The good news is – 2014 Jeep Cherokee Diesel will add two options of 2.0L Multijet II turbo diesel engine to its portfolio. The bad news – it will debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show next month and there is no word if or when the little diesel will be available in the United States. The numbers are: the more powerful version of the diesel will produce 170 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired to Jeep’s 9-speed automatic. This is not all. European customers will also have an option to go with a 140 hp diesel and a 6-speed manual transmission. What? A Manual!?! The folks across the pond get the good stuff.
