The refreshed 2014 BMW X5 was recently revealed and now we know the pricing information.  The 2014 X5 xDrive35i starts at $56,025 including destination charges.  If you compare it to the 2013 model, which started at $48,425, this is a hefty increase.  However, BMW points out the added equipment that now comes standard on the 2014 model.  The added standard features include: auto start-stop system, speed sensitive Servotronic steering system, iDrive 4.2 navigation system, 40/20/40 split folding rear seats, 10 years of BMW Assist eCall and Teleservice, apps, and more.

The other big news is that there is now a rear-wheel drive X5 model called the sDrive35i.  This new option starts at a lower $53,725 and should work well for customers outside of the snow belt.  The powerful V8 xDrive50i starts at $69,125 and represents a $4,000 increase over the outgoing model.  Also noteworthy is that the starting price for the efficient diesel xDrive35d model is $57,525, and actually represents a $100 decrease on the previous model.  It appears that BMW is providing an incentive of sorts for the diesel powered X5.

2014 BMW X5 sDrive35i : $53,725

2014 BMW X5 xDrive35i : $56,025

2014 BMW X5 xDrive35d : $57,525

2014 BMW X5 xDrive50i : $69,125

We look forward to testing the updated 2014 BMW X5 to see how it differentiates from the outgoing car.  In the meantime, please enjoy this TFLcar review of the 2013 BMW X5 xDrive35i M package.
