Weekly Drive: The ultimate Colorado ski car the 2010 Buick LaCrosse AWD?

Buick2

Since almost the beginning of automotive time both Audi and Subaru have worn the crown of the best Colorado ski cars because of their standard and much acclaimed all wheel drive systems.

But this week we've been driving the 2010 Buick LaCrosse and to our astonishment the car is mountain goat when it comes to winter driving and traction.

Not only does the car easily plow through the heaviest of Colorado snow with GM's capable all wheel drive system, but when paired with traction and stability control the car can't seem to put a tire in the wrong place when the road turns snowy and icy.

Add to that our test car's heated seats that could boil and egg in under five minutes, and the oh so wonderful heated steering wheel, plus the handy ski pass through the rear seat, and don't forget the deep and cavernous trunk that will easily swallow a snowboard…and yes indeed ladies and gentlemen…you may just have the ultimate Colorado ski car.
