The 2017 VW Atlas three-row SUV has not yet hit the dealerships, but Volkswagen is already showing customization and accessories options for the Atlas with this Weekend Edition that makes debut this week at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show.
The Weekend Edition is based on the Atlas SEL model that is powered by VW’s 3.6L VR6 276 horsepower engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission that are mated to the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. You will immediately notice the silver trim pieces and the 18-inch Prisma wheel, wrapped in Continental TerrainContact mud-n-snow all-season tires. There is an expandable cargo box mounted on the roof-rack that is capable of holding up to 17.7 cu-ft of stuff. The roof rack can also accommodate skis, snow boards, or bicycles (provided you have the appropriate rack attachments). Other details include a hood guard, side steps, and an elegantly-integrated LED light bar that sits inside the grille and just below the VW badge.
Interior accessories include a cargo divider and a 2nd-row pet barrier.
