First Drive Video: The new Chevy Cruze

Cruze

General Motors has pinned high hopes on the new high tech Volt,
but GM's real bread and butter car that's scheduled out next spring is
probably not the Volt, but the new Chevy Cruze.

The Chevy Cruze will be built at the Lordstown Assembly Plant in
northeast Ohio which has recently put over 2000 people to work because
the cash for clunkers program has increased sales of the Chevrolet
Cobalt…which is currently built a the plant.

Lamborghini Lemon

Lambo

$250,000…that's a lot to spend on a lemon, all be it a 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Spider.

But do squeaky brakes really qualify a super car as a lemon?

Porsche offices raided by German authorities

Porsche

You know it just seemed strange when Porsche tried to acquire Volkswagen.

Seriously, how does a tiny little sports car maker buy one of the biggest car builders in the world?

Sure they are both German companies but in terms of car production and sales Volkswagen just dwarfs Porsche when you consider that Volkswagen also owns, Audi, Spanish Car maker Seat, Czech car maker Skoda and a handful of famous super car brands.

Cash for Clunkers program ends Monday so check out guidelines and list of qualifying cars

Cash

8 p.m. Monday…that's the deadline for car dealers to submit any cash for clunkers paper work to the Federal Government.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced the hugely successful $3 billion dollar program will come to an end after this weekend on
Monday

"It's been a thrill to be part of the best economic news story in
America," he said "Now we are working
toward an orderly wind down of this very popular program."

World’s Cheapest Car: the Tata Nano

Nano

OK, you know that somewhere in the world there is a small company building cheaper cars, but in terms of big car manufactures the Tata Nano built in India is certainly the world's cheapest car.

At just about $2500, the Nano is a runaway hit in India.

It has also passed the European safety and emission regulation with $1000 dollars worth of improvements, so it may be on sale for just $3500 in Europe soon.

The 2010 Bentley Mulsanne makes world debut at Pebble Beach in California…sort of

Bentley

You know what's odd? It is really hard to find any decent video of the new 2010 Bentley Mulsanne which just debuted at Pebble Beach in California.

You'd think that Bentley would have a full production crew of film makers at Pebble Beach to document the moment as the car rolls in before the admiring and well healed concourse goers.

Review 2009 Toyota Venza AWD: A cool yet fuddy-duddy car for families wth 1.5 dogs

Venza1

Venza.

You have to admit that it is another one of those
funky Japaneses car names that seems to suggest fun and utility at the
same time. Sort of like Acura, Intergra and of course the Suzuki
Forenza.

Funny how all of these names end in a consonant followed by an "a."

You can almost picture the focus group when they test these car names.

Video: GM inks deal to sell Saab to Koenigsegg

Saabblackturbo800px

Yes, it is a head scratcher, but the video below explains it all.

Of course many people around the world have been wondering how a
Swedish tiny super car manufacturer with a goofy name like Koenigsegg
that employs a handful of people can actually afford to buy Saab?
