How fast does the 2.0L 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Accelerate from 0-60?
Normally, when you think “Jeep”, 0-60 times don’t immediately spring to mind. After all, their cars – even the range-topping 2.0L 2018 Jeep Wrangler – are more off-road symbols than barnstorming sports cars. Nevertheless, Jeep made considerable changes to the new Jeep Wrangler to make it more pleasant to drive on the road as well as on the trails. Part of that change includes a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with a mild hybrid system. Now, this engine doesn’t make the Wrangler run on pure electric drive, although there is a plug-in hybrid coming in 2020. Instead, the system in this Sahara adds a little bit of oomph and is there to improve fuel economy.
Naturally, if you’re interested only in quick 0-60 times, there are several other suitable SUV options on the market. Still, it’s nice to know what the new Wrangler can do. To that end, Roman takes the 2.0L 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara to an empty patch of road near Tucson, Arizona to give it a kicking. Just how quickly can the Wrangler JL with a 2.0-liter engine get from 0-60? The results may surprise you.
