Genesis’ newest sedan will hit dealer lots soon.
Those of you shopping for sports sedans have a new option in the 2019 Genesis G70. As cousin to the Kia Stinger, buyers still have the choice of a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four or a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6. Those yearning for the 365 horsepower model will spend at least $44,745. That includes Genesis’ $995 destination fee. If the budget doesn’t stretch that far, $35,895 seems you into a 2.0-liter model.
2.0T models come in six trim levels: Advanced, Elite, Prestige, Dynamic and Sport (with or without a manual transmission). 3.3T models, on the other hand, have four: Advanced, Elite, Prestige and Sport. Two limited production models – the Design and Dynamic Special Editions – will join the lineup at launch, each limited to 400 examples.
2019 Genesis G70 Standard Equipment and Trim Levels
Starting with the $35,895 rear-wheel drive Advanced model, the 2019 Genesis G70 comes well-equipped out of the box. You get an eight-speed automatic transmission, a proximity key with push-button start, and a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat. There’s also a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. On the safety front, you get High Beam Assist, Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Avoidance and seven standard airbags.
Step up to the $37,895 Advanced 2.0T AWD, and you get an HTRAC all-wheel drive system and a heated steering wheel, on top of all the other standard equipment.
2.0T Elite: Starts from $40,895 ($42,895 w/ AWD)
In addition to the Advanced features, you get more comfort features. Full LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors and rain-sensing windshield wipers start off the new features. You also get memory seats, navigation, leather seats, a sunroof and a Lexicon 15-speaker stereo system.
2.0T Prestige: $45,895 (AWD only)
Stepping up to the Prestige model adds more feature on top of the Advanced and Elite. Here, you get a Heads-Up Display (HUD), Nappa leather seats, and a 360-degree Surround-view monitor. Heated rear seats and a Low Beam Assist round out the luxury options on the 2019 Genesis G70 2.0T models.
2.0T Sport A/T: $45,895 ($47,895 w/ AWD) and 2.0T M/T: $38,895
The automatic Sport model adds some copper headlight bezel accents, alloy pedals, and 19-inch wheels. Nappa leather seats are also available here, and rear-wheel drive models get a limited-slip differential.
The 2.0T Sport is the only model where you can get a six-speed manual transmission. On top of that, you also get a multi-plate limited-slip differential and Brembo performance brakes. Genesis also fits a sport exhaust system and gives you back a manual parking brake. Comfort features include heated and ventilated front seats, a Lexicon 15-speaker system and full LED headlights.
3.3T Advanced: $44,645 ($46,645 w/ AWD)
On the 3.3-liter V6-equipped Advanced, you get most of the features you couldn’t get on the 2.0T Advanced. That means 19-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential, full LED headlights, 19-inch wheels and the Lexicon stereo system. As with the 2.0T model, the AWD Advanced model adds a heated steering wheel.
Head up to higher trim levels on the 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T (Elite, Prestige, Sport), and you get features also available on the 2.0T. All 2019 Genesis G70 models come with three years and 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance. You also get three years of valet services, SiriusXM travel link and navigation updates.
