Limited ($42,925 to $46,825, depending on options)
Like the SR5 and SR5 Premium, the Limited is available with two-wheel drive. Unlike any other 4Runner trim level, the Limited is also available with permanent four-wheel drive. The full-time system on the Limited offers A-TRAC – which also comes in the other trims – and a locking Torsen limited-slip center differential. The Limited trim is the most luxurious 4Runner trim, offering 20-inch wheels and automatic running boards, which aren’t available on any other trim level.
Standard equipment exclusive to the Limited trim include dual-zone automatic climate control as well as heated and ventilated, leather-trimmed seats. If you’re looking to spec up a Limited, you have a few options. Those include adding a leather-trimmed third-row seat for $1,365. $1,500 adds automatic running boards (without the third row seats), while $350 on top of that throws in the sliding cargo deck. If you want to go with the seats, running boards, and the sliding cargo deck, it’ll set you back $2,865.
The Limited is as good as your going to get for comfort in a 4Runner, but it’s also the most expensive option. With full-time four-wheel drive, it’s more for folks who want added security without having to fuss with all those off-road settings on the TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro.
