Shelby American Collection Tour: Incredible Cars and How to Win One [Video]

On this episode of TFLlive we had the incredible opportunity to show you one of the most comprehensive Shelby collections in the world. The Shelby American Collection is located in Boulder, Colorado right by our office. We met with museum co-founder and volunteer Steve Volk who showed us through the museum and told us about the collection.

The Collection

The Shelby American Collection was started in 1996 as a non-profit museum to document and preserve the legacy of Carroll Shelby and his cars. It currently runs on volunteer work and is open every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Tickets cost $5 for adults and children under 12 can enter for free when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

GT350R Drawing and Annual Show

Part of the reason for our visit to the Shelby American Collection was to promote an upcoming drawing. The drawing is for a 2017 Shelby GT350R. Tickets for the drawing are $25 and can be purchased at https://shelbyamericancollection.tapkat.org/wina2017ShelbyGT350R. The winner will be announced on Saturday, September 2nd at 6:00 PM MST. Also on September 2nd is the The Shelby American Collection Annual Party and Car Show. In attendance will be numerous racing drivers with close ties to Shelby and his cars. Namely, Bob Bondurant, Allen Grant, and Tom Yeager, all of whom drove for Shelby at some point in their careers.
