New Top Gear host Chris Harris revealed the full lineup of the revamped show on his radio program, and it looks to be a completely different format than the last, famous iteration.
The multi-national crew will have seven members (six that will actually present, with The Stig being the silent partner) and range from race drivers to journalists to celebrities.
First to be announced by Harris was journalist Rory Reid, who is the only new presenter to come from open auditions. His 30-second video was enough to win the job, but Reid has been making car videos on his channel Recombu Cars and has been on BBC radio.
Next on the list is Chris Harris, another popular YouTube car reviewer whose channel, Chris Harris on Cars, has over 300,000 subscribers.
Sabine Schmitz, the German race driver and Nurburgring expert, is the next official presenter. She appeared on the previous iteration of Top Gear and set a blistering pace around the ‘Ring in a Ford Transit van.
Former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan will also join the team. His team, while never having the success of others, nonetheless had drivers such as Damon Hill and Ralf Schumacher and finished third in the championship with driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Jordan has been an F1 commentator for the BBC and wrote a column in F1 Racing magazine.
American actor Matt LeBlanc, the first new presenter to be officially announced, rounds out the new crew. LeBlanc was a celebrity guest on the last Top Gear and was the fastest celebrity around the track.
With so many presenters, the new Top Gear looks to be quite different than the old Top Gear. While the old version relied on the banter of hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, the new Top Gear looks to take more of a team approach.
