The Hot Rod Power Tour begins this Saturday, June 1st in Arlington Texas and rolls on for six more days with stops in Birmingham, Alabama, Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of other cities.
Several companies and manufacturers will feature special attractions during each stop of the tour that include:
The 1967 Hot Wheels Custom Concept, a tribute to car included in the original 16-car collection in 1968. The car will also feature Chevy’s new LS3 E-ROD Connect and Cruise Powertrain.
The Corvette that paced this year’s Indianapolis 500 race will be shown.
Mothers Car Polish will bring along the Mustang RTR Spec 3 that they presented at SEMA last year. The Mothers Big Rig and crew will be present at every stop and they will have giveaways, tech seminars and some of our finest car care products. A Corvette ZR-1 and “ProPane” Chevelle will be at their display.
Cruise in events on each stop on the tour where thousands of hot rods, street rods, muscle cars, spectators and performance vehicles can assemble and enjoy the rush of adrenaline and the smell of burned rubber and gasoline (or ethanol).
At the Hot Wheels Performance Trailer, where representatives will be on hand to answer question, give tips and advice for LS-engine conversion projects. Spectators can also grab a copy of the 2013 Chevrolet Performance Catalog, a cornucopia of engines, parts and accessories all in one place. A few of the Chevrolet Performance toys will be part of the tour for closer inspection and ample drooling.
If you are a lover of high-performance steel and you are near one of the Power Tour stops, you should make your way there. This is one of the fun summer events that make being a car enthusiast one of the greatest pleasures in the world.
