Refreshed 2017 Nissan Rogue and All-new Rogue Hybrid Debut In Miami

It is now official. The refreshed 2017 Nissan Rogue has just made its debut in Miami. Nissan’s compact crossover gets new face, tail light, and interior upgrades. However, the big news is the introduction of the 2017 Rogue Hybrid. The gas-electric power train combines a 2.0L four cylinder engine with a 30 kW electric motor for a total system power of 176 horses.

The 2.5L four cylinder continues on to power the regular Rogue. The 2.5L engine produces 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. It is still hooked up to the Xtronic CVT with Sport and Eco modes.

The Rogue Hybrid pushes the fuel economy higher. The 2.0L gas engine makes 141 hp and 144 lb-ft of torque. The electric motor contributes a maximum of 40 horsepower. Total system power calculation ends up at 176 horsepower. The Rogue Hybrid can be had in FWD or AWD configurations. Nissan estimates the Hybrid FWD at 33 MPH city and 35 MPG on the highway. The Hybrid AWD should come in at 31 MPG city and 34 MPG on the highway.

The 2017 Rogue will go right against the 2017 Toyota RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid.
