Toyota recalls 2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0 cars for suspension defects

Scion tC Release Series 9.0
Toyota is recalling 114 tC Release Series 9.0 cars for improperly installed coil springs.

Toyota will recall 114 units of the 2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0 cars for improperly tightened suspension bolts.

The recall affects tC’s that had accessory coil springs installed. During installation, the bolts were improperly tightened, which Toyota’s press release stated could cause the control arms to detach and increase the risk of an accident.

For the recall, Toyota will replace the bolts, nuts, rear suspension arms and rear suspension member sub-assemblies. There have been no reports of any accidents caused by the improperly installed coil springs.
