Dodge is celebrating 90 years of Mopar with a special package for the latest Charger.
Outside the massive aftermarket presence, this year’s SEMA show is also huge for automakers — Stellantis included. Alongside special builds for Jeep and Ram, Dodge announced a full Mopar treatment for the 2027 Dodge Charger that will be on display in Las Vegas.
The Mopar ’27, as the brand recently tested, is coming to two-door Charger R/T and Scat Pack models for the 2027 model year, as a nod to nearly a century of Mopar’s heritage supporting owners and enthusiasts with performance parts. Dealer orders for the Charger Mopar ’27 will kick off in early January, before cars actually make their way to customers in the spring.
So, what do you get with the package? As you’d probably expect, the Moparized Charger brings a whack of parts right from the Direct Connection catalog. That includes a carbon fiber hood with a functional scoop, a carbon fiber front splitter, a cold air intake for the 3.0-liter Hurricane turbo I-6, a carbon fiber rear spoiler and unique hood and bodyside graphics. Inside, you get a unique IP badge on the passenger side, as well as a serialized plaque on the radiator closeout panel.
Under the hood, you still get the same 420-horsepower and 550-horsepower versions of the Hurricane engine, whether you put the Mopar ’27 package on the R/T or Scat Pack. Dodge dealers will sell you additional accessories like a high-performance cat-back exhaust, performance spring kit or 21-by-11-inch Brass Monkey wheels, but those are a la carte options and not available as part of this Mopar package.
If you do want to fly your Mopar flag and buy one of these special Chargers, there are a couple other things you’ll want to know. First, the package (with all its carbon fiber) will set you back $10,995 above and beyond the base price and other options of whichever two-door Charger you order.
The 2027 Dodge Charger Mopar ’27 will also be a relatively rare package. Only 270 will be sold, with 243 coming to the United States and a mere 27 units allocated for Canada. So, if you do decide to pull the trigger, you should probably get in touch with your local Dodge dealer sooner rather than later.
This Mopar-clad Charger will be on the SEMA floor in Las Vegas next week, so we’ll have more coverage of this car and a ton more coming up soon.
