2015 Chrysler 200 is named Rocky Mountain Car of the Year

The 2015 Chrysler 200 has an optional AWD system. It is fully redesigned for the 2015 model year, and journalists of the Rocky Mountain region have voted to name is the 2015 Rocky Mountain Car of the Year.

Denver, CO – The Rocky Mountain Automotive Press (RMAP) announced its members have named the 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan as the Rocky Mountain Car of the Year. RMAP membership consists of automotive journalists from Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Arizona. RMAP members reach millions of potential car and truck buyers via the internet, in print, on TV, or via radio. RMAP journalists regularly receive manufacturer press fleet vehicles for review and testing. They also interact with automaker’s executives, engineers, designers, and other representatives to learn all the details about the latest vehicles.

2015 marks the ninth annual Rocky Mountain Vehicle of the Year awards. The goal is to recognize vehicles that are all-new or significantly revised for the 2015 model year.  In order to be eligible for the award, vehicles must be in the Rocky Mountain regional press fleet and available for RMAP members to test.

The RMAP vehicle nominating committee considered performance, fuel economy, value, and vehicle features to narrow down the field to three finalists in the Rocky Mountain Car of the year.

The finalists for 2015 were the Audi A3/S3, Chrysler 200 and Hyundai Genesis. After voting by the entire RMAP membership was complete, the Chrysler 200 sedan was the winner. RMAP congratulates Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) for winning this prestigious award. Consumers will see a banner distinguishing the Chrysler 200 as the 2015 Rocky Mountain Car of the Year at the Denver Auto Show, which runs from April 8-12th at the Denver Convention Center.
