The Charger Pursuit police cruiser comes with a choice of two engines, and the supercharged HEMI Hellcat is not one of them (at least for now). The highway patrol will likely get the 370 horsepower HEMI V8. This motor is capable of 0-60 mph acceleration in “under six seconds”. It can be configured with latest iteration of AWD that is mindful of fuel economy. The HEMI also uses cylinder deactivation for an estimated 25 MPG on the highway for two-wheel drive models.

2015 Dodge Charger PursuitDodge worked with police departments to refine all aspects of the Pursuit. The car gets larger front and rear brake rotors, upgraded suspension bushings, reconfigurable steering wheel buttons to run auxiliary equipment, and a backup camera.

The new cruiser has a dizzying array of safety and driver-aid features. Dodge says there are 55 distinct safety features. There are fourteen brake-assist and stability control features to help keep the cruiser on the operational in tough weather conditions.

As a result, the 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit is more fuel efficient, more safe to operate, and provides a myriad of improvements inside and out to make everyday law enforcement jobs safer and easier.
