Ford is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its iconic Mustang by putting a 2015 Ford Mustang at the top of the Empire State Building.
This was quite a feat to pull off, but they managed to get the disassembled Mustang up the elevator and put back together on the Observation Deck in just 6 hours. They celebrated the event last night with a party for the Mustang that included Mustang pinball machines and Mustang everything everywhere.
In speaking with the guys responsible, they said it pretty much went off without a hitch except for one completely unexpected complication – snow. Yup, it snowed the night of the 15th so although they’d practiced the process countless times, they never once thought they’d be putting the car together in the snow.
Still, they persevered and a mob of people, journalists and tourists alike, all squashed our way onto the Observation deck to get a few minutes with the 2015 Ford Mustang. TFLcar was there and we’ll have video from the top of the Empire State Building coming up, soon!
