According to Vin Diesel and his Facebook page, The Fast and Furious 7 will be released on April 10th 2015. Shortly after Paul Walker’s tragic death Universal Pictures has scrambled to pick up the broken pieces of the Fast and Furious franchise. After deciding to continue with the films, or at least complete The Fast and Furious 7, Universal Pictures is moving ahead with production.
The rumors have been numerous: some film-boy sites say the entire story will be augmented/modified with Kurt Russell joining as Walker’s father. Others say Walker’s brother might take his place. A painful-looking rumor has Justin Bieber taking Walker’s place. Oy. Some say that the film has to be scraped and completely re-shot with an all-new screenplay.
At the end of the day, let’s hope a real gear-head and not some studio stuffed-shirt calls the shots.

I like the franchise, especially the last few films. From what I hear, Paul Walker was a great guy and a proper gear-head. I think everyone wants a good movie that pays homage to Walker while entertaining the masses. It will be interesting to see what happens.
