The Subaru Legacy Concept from 2013 LA Auto Show is a design exercise to preview the cues for the next production Legacy. It’s got large aggressive fenders, high belt line, and low coupe-like roof. The front and tail lights have a distinct design and LEDs and look nearly production ready. The design works well together. We hope Subaru is able to translate this concept into a production model without too many significant changes. Perhaps, a lower belt line and a little high roof for the production car?
Very few technical details were revealed. We can assume that Subaru’s famous Symmetrical AWD is present. And we can guess that a version of the WRX’s turbo-charged and direct injected 2.0-liter Boxer engine will be under the hood. Subaru hopes to become a bigger player in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan market, and the more aggressive design should move it in the right direction.
