The 2011 Kia Sportage EX AWD was a lot hotter than I expected. I happened to be outside as it pulled up to my driveway, and the LED daytime running lights just amped up the wow-factor by a lot. Kia’s slogan has been “The Power To Surprise” for many years now and I can happily report that I was surprised with the Sportage.
First of all, it’s a good-looking small crossover that has received a sporty, muscular upgrade from its previous model. I love the commitment to design here, Kia. Most of these smaller crossovers get a little geriatric, I mean, generic over time. No chance of that here, thankyouverymuch. But I wonder, will the LED’s impact wear off?
And what about the interior? Is it as sharp and up-to-date as the exterior? And will it come with some goodies or will it disappoint like other less-expensive vehicles out there?
