Toyota is considering recalling 270,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles for possible engine stalling problems according to published reports.

The Japanese automaker has not yet formally informed U.S. safety regulators of the possible issue, but Toyota is considering "some kind of measure" that would include a recall.

The possible issue involves eight Toyota and Lexus models that could lead to the car's engine stalling.

Those models include:

Toyota Crown, Lexus LS 460, Lexus LS 600h, Lexus LS 600hL, Lexus GS 350,
Lexus GS 450h, Lexus GS 460 and Lexus IS 350.

Toyota stresses that no accidents have been reported because of the engine stalling issue but this would be the second recall of Lexus cars in less than a week.

For the last year Toyota has been plagued with safety issues including the recall of millions of cars worldwide for unintended acceleration as well as THIS recent recall of it's newest Lexus hybrid model for possible gasoline leaks in the event of a rear end collision.
