The new VW Beetle is no more. Volkswagen announces end of production of the iconic car as the last one rolls off the factory line in Puebla, Mexico. The last car is actually denim blue coupe. This car is going directly to the VW museum in Puebla.

The “new Beetle” or second generation of the Beetle started production in 1998. This generation ended in 2010. The current and the last generation of car went 2011 – 2019. A total of 1.7 million new Beetle have been sold between 1998 and 2019, according to Volkswagen.

In total, approximately 21.5 million have been sold worldwide. This car is truly an automotive legend that is instantaneously recognized around the world.
