New 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible Debuts

Here it is folks, the 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible debuting right after the debut of the 2018 Ford Mustang Coupe. Based on the significantly updated 2018 Mustang we were informed of a few days back, this 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible will have better performance out of the I4 and V8 (the V6 will disappear), the new 10-speed automatic transmission, available MagneRideâ„¢ suspension, revised aerodynamics, a customizable 12-inch all-digital instrument cluster, optional active valve exhaust and other upgrades.

The new design front and rear of the 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible looks sleeker and (according to Ford) has better aerodynamics. There will be 12 unique wheel options, updated interior choices and new cosmetic options as well. Both the 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine and 5.0-liter “Coyote” V8 will be upgraded (presumably, producing more power and better economy).

Ford says they will be attending several smaller auto shows across the United States over the next several months debuting the 2018 Ford Mustang Convertible and the 2018 Ford Mustang Coupe. This is a departure from their past NAIAS lack of debuts. We’re hoping to get our hands on these vehicles soon!

Check out this debut video of the 2018 Ford Mustang. It’s everything we know about the 2018 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L V8. A first drive and press event video will (hopefully) come out soon.
