2017 Kia Cadenza: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know [Video]

A few days ago, TFLcar brought you the first drive review of the all-new 2017 Kia Cadenza luxury sedan. Now, we bring you everything – or almost everything – you want to know about Kia’s latest flagship sedan.

TFLcar’s Roman Mica spoke with Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning at Kia, to go over some of the key features of the car.

It’s a brand new design, having been penned at Kia’s California design studio. It is highlighted by a more aggressive front end that Hedrick called “masculine,” and tailored sides that try to make the car look smaller and more athletic than a car of its size.

Inside, Kia paid attention to the small details, which matter a lot in the luxury sedan class. Seats are Nappa leather, the dash design motif extends through to the door panels, and it has two LCD screens, an eight-inch screen on the dash and a five-inch screen between the gauges.

Under the hood is a 3.3-liter V-6, which is enhanced from the previous model for better drivability and better fuel economy. It is mated to Kia’s in-house, eight-speed automatic transmission. The V-6 makes 290 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque and is rated at 20 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.

The Cadenza comes in three trim levels – Premium, Technology and Limited. Prices range from around $32,000 for the entry-level Premium to around $45,000 for a completely loaded Limited.

The 2017 Cadenza will be on sale in late October.
