2016 Lexus RX 450h vs Lexus NX 300h 0-60 MPH Mashup Review [Video]

Which one is faster – the 2016 Lexus NX 300h or the 2016 Lexus RX 450h?

TFL’s Nathan Adlen test drove two hybrid crossovers recently to see which one was the quickest in a zero to 60 mph challenge.

TFL tests vehicles in Colorado, which is one mile above sea level and means the vehicles typically won’t have the same power as those tested at sea level.

The first vehicle Nathan tested was the NX 300h, which he put in sport mode and revved the engine to 1200 rpm before taking off. Nathan attempted the zero to 60 mph challenge twice to get an accurate reading.

The NX 300h he tested came equipped with a four-cylinder engine that produces 194 horsepower and puts out 152 lb-ft of torque combined with the electric motor. The vehicle would cost a buyer about $47,818.

Nathan did the same zero to 60 mph test with the RX 450h, taking two tries at getting it to 60 mph in the fastest time possible and revving the engine up to 2100 rpm. He once again put that vehicle into sport mode for the tests.

The RX 450h he tested came equipped with a six-cylinder engine that produces 308 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque combined with the electric motor. Buyers would pay about $64,610 for that vehicle.
