There is an obvious downturn in the midsize sedan sales. All of the biggest players are down, and most are down by double-digits.
The Toyota Camry is still in the lead, but it decreased -10.4% when compared to April of last year. There is a shuffle of spots behind it. The Honda Accord takes the second place with 27,251 units sold (it was down -20.1% in April). The Ford Fusion is still in third, but the Nissan Altima fell down to fourth position.
There are several standouts. The redesigned Chrysler 200 picks up even more momentum over the outgoing model and remains in fifth place. The Subaru Legacy hopped over the Mazda6 and slots into tenth place for the month of April. Both, the Legacy and the Mazda6 show very strong growth.
