Is there any way to improve the 2015 Ferrari F12berlinetta? The 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 produces an astonishing 731 horsepower @ 8,250 rpm and 508 lb-ft of torque @ 6,000 rpm. It’s a high-revving beast with a classic V12 song. It’s capable of 3.1 second 0-60 mph acceleration and a 211 mph top speed. It’s a properly quick and luxurious GT car.
Perhaps, the sharp edges of the F12 could turn some people off? Enter the F12 Berlinetta Lusso by Touring coach builders. The Lusso nameplate can draw its lineage to the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso of the 1963 and 1964 model years. Lusso stands for “luxury”, but it also is about smooth curves as you can see on this example that is coming to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Many of the sharp edges and creases have been smoothed out for a more classic and elegant appearance. You can immediately tell the Lusso apart from the “regular” F12berlinetta.
Many of the details are still unknown as we wait for the official reveal at the Geneva show. However, if this Lusso goes on sale, expect it to cost north of $400,000.
