Over the past several months, Dodge has repositioned itself as a performance-oriented brand; from the outside, the 2015 Dodge Dart GT certainly appears to fit the bill. Those who lust after glossy black trim, dark wheels, and subtle accent work will not be left wanting for style. Does the GT’s racy exterior match up to hot performance credibility, however, or is the car more of a sporty cruiser?

The 2015 Dodge Dart GT starts at $21,295 and, for that price, includes loads of standard equipment above and beyond the Dart SXT on which it is based. Dodge’s 184-HP, 2.4-L MULTIAIR engine is standard, mated to a six-speed manual transmission (a six-speed auto is optional). For enhanced handling, a frequency-sensing sport suspension and performance steering are included, as are performance gear ratios and unique engine calibration.
Additional standard features on the GT include keyless entry with push-button start, 18-inch aluminum wheels, dual exhaust with bright tips, dark-finish exterior accent work, perforated Nappa leather seats (heated in front), a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, Uconnect 8.4 AM/FM/MP3 radio with 8.4-inch touchscreen display, 7-inch full-color reconfigurable digital gauge cluster display, backup camera, dual-zone automatic temperature control, remote start (with automatic transmission), tire-pressure monitoring display and SiriusXM Radio.
