For 65 years, Honda Motor Co has built motorcycles, starting with the Honda 98cc Dream Type-D, and now they have built their 300-millionth. Honda’s Kumamoto Factory in Japan just produced a Honda Gold Wing representing its 300-millionth motorcycle.

“This incredible milestone is the result of the millions of customers who have placed their trust in Honda and we would like to thank all of our customers, associates, dealers and community partners in North America for helping make it possible,” said Bob Gurga, Vice President and Manager of Motorcycle Division for American Honda. “Now, we are focused on the future and the ways that we can harness the challenging spirit of Honda associates to create new joy for Honda customers.”

The Honda 50 (Super Cub), introduced in 1958, has been a major component in Honda’s motorcycle success. With nearly 90-million Honda 50 Super Cubs built, Honda Motor Co’s worldwide success can easily traced to the small motorcycle. Now, over 60-years later, Honda builds dozens of motorcycles, ATVs, watercraft, robots, jets – oh, and automobiles.

Honda Motor Co. is in the process of introducing a batch of new vehicles, further bolstering their worldwide presence. One is the small crossover called the HR-V. Check out this video featuring lots of information about the 2016 Honda HR-V.

Well done Honda; here’s to 300-million more!
