Pictures of The Ford Everest SUV Caught Testing In The Wild

The Ford Everest SUV was out doing some high-altitude testing in Colorado and these pictures give us a really good look at the test mule.

The SUV made its debut back in March at the Beijing Auto Show as a concept car for the ASEAN and global markets. That concept featured a uniquely scalloped rear rather than the flat panel so often found in an SUV, and these pictures show that same sculpting.

It also has the same trapezoidal grille hidden beneath the camouflage, and similar headlights, but the details are hard to discern in these pictures.

The big question, though, is why was this Ford SIV testing in the US? Could it be that this test mule is targeting the Australian market, or are they considering bringing a new Ford SUV to US shores? Ford has a very globally focused strategy right now, one they touted at the launch of the Ford Edge just last month, so perhaps the Everest will be cruising American highways in the near future.
