Spied: Is this a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V?

Caddy
Could this hidden vehicle possibly be a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V? This is a tough one.  The cargo trailer was in process of being buttoned up. Time enough for just two shots. It’s hard to tell, but the rear trunk-lid has the same design as the CTS and the wheels look like they come from a CTS.

Some believe it looks like it could be an ATS/ATS-V, but that trunk-lid is pretty similar on both vehicles.

What do you think? … And – what is it with that GMC Terrain above the Cadillac? It looks like an updated GMC Terrain given its redesigned tail-lamps. Usually, high altitude testing concentrates on powertrain performance, not new external components. Perhaps it’s the 2015 GMC Terrain with a new engine?

It is rumored that the next batch of small GM crossovers may have turbocharged four-bangers.

Caddy-GMC
If this is the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, it will most likely have a re-tuned Corvette 6.2-liter, LT-4 V8. It may be coupled with GM’s new 8-speed and, word has it, there will be no manual option – BOO! If it’s the ATS-V, it could have a twin turbocharged V6 that might come attached to a six-speed manual or the eight-speed automatic transmission.

That would be pretty cool.

So, what do you guys think? We normally avoid posting pictures that are this vague, but we honestly wanted to fine out something – anything – about this Cadillac. Let us know what you think below!
