Â The redesigned Mk6 Jetta had a strong start, but very strong competition has slowed down its sales in recent months. 2014 Volkswagen Jetta does have a new trick up its sleeve. Â It’s the new 1.8L TSI turbocharged four-cylinder with 170 hp and 184 lb-ft. Â The torque comes on early at 1,500 rpm and makes for a spritely driving experience. Â It can be ordered with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Â The big benefit are the EPA ratings of 26 MPG city and 36 MPG highway. Â The $18,895 starting price (before destination) is a good incentive as well.
